2018 Grand National – Finding the Winner
The question for many ahead of the World’s most famous race is Grand National who to bet on? The race is also one of the hardest for punters with the unique course being a barrier to success for many horses. There are a vast amount of trends that can be followed in order to narrow the field down however. The main one being Age with a continued success for horses aged between 9 and 11 in recent times. This is shown in the fact that 10 of the last 11 winners are in this bracket with no horse older than 12 having triumphed in the race since 1923. Also no horse younger than 8 having won since the 1940’s.
Following favourites has not been a winning play in the National with just 10% going on to success in the race. With this year’s favourite looking likely to be Blaklion is he one to stay clear of? Looking through his form and profile he is one of the most solid looking favourites going in to the race and is going to take all the beating come April so could be the one to buck the trend.
